Elizabeth Man Arrested on Drug Charges in Roselle Park

A 42-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested on drug charges over the weekend by Roselle Park Police.

According to police, on Jan. 26th, at 2:02 a.m., Officer William Hannon Jr. conducted a motor vehicle stop of a 2000 Ford on W. Westfield Avenue and Gordon Street for an equipment violation.  

The driver, Frank P. Costanza Jr., was found to have an outstanding warrant out of the Union County Superior Court for nonpayment of child support as well as a traffic warrant out of Old Bridge Township Municipal Court.

A subsequent search lead police to find Costanza Jr. in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, suspected (cocaine) and drug paraphernalia.

Police charged Costanza Jr. with possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia.

In addition, Costanza Jr. was issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, maintenance of lamps, improper display of license plate and ultimately released into the custody of the Union County Sheriff’s Department where he was later lodged into the Union County Jail.
