Elizabeth Man Among Four Arrested in Linden After Stealing Trailer Loaded with Pasta

Linden New Jersey

Police arrested four men after they were found in possession of a pasta filled trailer reported stolen out of Bayonne last week.

Linden detectives, while working with the State Police Interstate Theft Unit, recovered a stolen trailer of pasta products parked on a local street Tuesday shortly after 11:30 p.m., Captain James Sarnicki said.

A surveillance was conducted when at approximately 11:05 p.m., four men pulled up in two vehicles, a car and a tractor. The men then hooked up the tractor to the trailer -which was reported stolen out of Bayonne May 7 - and attempted to drive away when the men were stopped by a backup team of officers, the captain added.

The four men arrested are as follows: Mahran Khales, 31, of Palisades Park; Ali Iseed, 45, of West New York; Numan M. Khalil, 50, of North Bergen; and Kenneth M. Maysonett, 29, of Elizabeth.

The men were charged with receiving stolen property, fencing, and conspiracy to commit receiving stolen property.

Bails ranged from $60,000 for Khalil, $75,000 for Iseed, to $150,000 for Khales, Sarnicki said.

Maysonnet was released on a summons.
