Police in East Orange are investigating a shooting that sent a male victim to the hospital a short time ago.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 300 block of N. Walnut St. at around 2:45 p.m.
Units arrived to the scene to find the victim suffering injuries after being shot at that location.
Police setup a crime scene in the area after EMS transported the victim to University Hospital in an unknown condition.
The motive behind the shooting is under investigation.
Police are looking for a Dark Green Acura MDX with no front plate and rear bumper damage.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
