Authorities are investigating an early Saturday morning shooting that left an East Orange man wounded in Paterson.
According to information released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray, police were called to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center at approximately 2:07 a.m. on August 8 after a 34-year-old East Orange man arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle seeking treatment.
Officials said the man suffered a gunshot wound that was determined to be non-life-threatening.
As officers began investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, they located what authorities described as a potential crime scene in the area of McBride Avenue and Mill Street in Paterson.
Officials have not released information regarding what may have led to the shooting, and no arrests were announced.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
