East Orange Man Surrenders After Wendy's Robbery in Bloomfield

A 23-year-old East Orange man accused of attacking a man and stealing his $500 Nike sneakers surrendered to police.

According to police, on April 15 officers responded to Wendy's on Bloomfield Avenue for a report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers found a 41-year-old man who had been attacked by a group of assailants. The victim suffered cuts and bruises to his face.

Investigating officers arrested Ahmari Gilmore, 21, and Bobby Reed, 23, both of Newark, who were found in possession of the man's sneakers and hat. They were charged with robbery and conspiracy charges.

Arioste Moncion turned himself Monday after he was identified as the third suspect.
