A 42-year-old East Orange man was issued several traffic offenses and theft after he attempted to go through the Holland Tunnel towards New York.
According to police, Port Authority police officer stopped Sean L. Blount, driver of a 2000 Nissan Maxima, around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday after noticing the "toll unpaid" sign flash.
During the stop, police discovered Blount owed more than $1,300 in E-ZPass tolls and fines, had an expired inspection sticker and his driver's license was suspended. In addition, Blount was wanted on criminal warrants from Millburn and Paramus, each for theft; and outstanding warrants for traffic offenses in South Orange, East Orange and Millburn.
Blount was charged with theft of services, bail jumping, driving with a suspended license and other traffic offenses.
