Passaic County authorities are looking into a shooting that sent a man to the hospital early this morning in Wanaque.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the single digit block of Alexander Avenue sent police to the scene shortly before 2 a.m. where cops located a man in his mid 20's suffering a gunshot injury at that location.
The man was airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson suffering a gunshot wound to the side and listed in serious condition.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
