Early Morning Shooting Injures Male Victim in Englewood

An early morning shooting in Englewood sent a 32-year-old man to the hospital and prompted an investigation by police.

Gunfire rang out in the 300 block of Howland Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. sending police to the scene where officers found the victim injured at that location.

The victim was transported to Hackensack University Hospital suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wounds to both legs, according to reports.

Authorities said the victim was apparently the target of a robbery where cash and keys were taken.

A crime scene and an area search where established as police searched for the masked shooter.

There were no reports of arrests made.
