Early Morning Shooting Hospitalizes Three in Jersey City

An early morning shooting sent several people to the hospital in Jersey City.

Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Warner Avenue and Rose Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m. according to reports.

Arriving units located two male victim suffering injuries from gunfire and were immediately rushed to Jersey City Medical Center.

One of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the lower back while the other victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg reports said.

A third victim entered the hospital's emergency room after being dropped off by private vehicle a short time later. He was struck by gunfire in the leg.

None of the injured were considered life threatening.

Jersey City Police is handling the investigation.
