UPDATE: Victim identified as Jacquese Mills, 31, of Paterson.
Passaic County authorities are investigating a second shooting that occurred in Paterson during the overnight hours.
According to police, gunfire rang out at around 57 Godwin Avenue at approximately 5:25 a.m. in the area of 57 Godwin Avenue.
Several police units arrived and found the unidentified victim suffering bullet wounds at that location.
According to police, medical professionals pronounced the victim dead a short time later.
Police say a search of the area did not reveal a suspect.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office.
