Residents in the Vailsburgh section of the city were awakened to gunfire and sounds of police sirens early this morning.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 90's block of Grand Avenue shortly before 6:30 a.m. where officer arrived to the scene and located multiple shell casings at that location.
According to resident, a male victim was transported to University Hospital where he suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police searched the area and the rear of houses for evidence and a possible suspect.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
