Newark firefighters quickly brought a fast-moving fire under control Monday night after flames broke out inside a business in the city’s Ironbound section.
The fire was reported shortly after 10:15 p.m. at 102 Ferry Street.
According to reports arriving crews found an e-bike burning inside the store and began stretching hose lines while forcing entry into the building.
Firefighters quickly knocked down the main body of the fire on the first floor before checking the upper levels for any extension. 
Their efforts prevented the blaze from spreading further through the structure.
No injuries were immediately reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
