The Department of Transportation Diversion Team and The Office of Emergency Management were called to the scene to assist in traffic control after a crash seriously injured a person on a busy roadway in Linden Sunday evening.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the US-1 and Stiles Street intersection after receiving reports of a crash with injuries around 7:24 p.m.
Upon arrival, rescue crews found an overturned vehicle with a person trapped inside.
The unidentified driver was extricated from the car and then administered CPR before being rushed to the hospital for additional treatment.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
