Authorities are on the scene of a shooting that happened in the city a short time ago.
Reports of shots fired rang out in the single digit block of Slocum Ave. shortly before 5:55 p.m. sending police and EMS to the scene where one person was located suffering injury from gunfire.
The victim was transported to an area hospital suffering unknown injuries at this time.
The suspect is reported tot be a black males who was occupying a white or light colored Sedan when he fired the shot that struck the victim.
There were several vehicles struck by gunfire but no other injuries are being reported at this time.
East Palisades Avenue is closed in both directions between Dorchester to Beverly Road.
