Dream Team Foundation Hosts Charity Basketball Game to Assist Students in Need of Books

A New Jersey non-profit is hosting a charity basketball game to assist in raising money for a Somerset County book foundation this weekend.

According to a statement released by Dream Team Foundation officials, this year, they have decided to highlight Bridge of Books Foundation.

Officials say the organization based in Hillsborough whose mission is to provide an ongoing source of books to underserved children throughout New Jersey.

Dream Team Foundation officials say they support the development of literacy skills and encourage a love of reading.

Officials said they were surprised to acknowledge the fact that there are children in NJ communities who still do not have access to books.

"Our foundation thought it would be a great way to kick off our movement and bring attention to this amazing organization by hosting a charity basketball game in South Plainfield," a Dream Team Foundation official said.

The game will be hosted at the All Seasons Sports Academy Saturday, August 31, at noon all are welcome to attend, donate and/or support the cause.

Officials say 100% of the ticket sales, donations of books and money will benefit Bridge of Books Foundation.

Dream Team Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides supplemental resources to local children's organizations in New Jersey which encourages children to not only dream of success but ultimately achieve it.
