An overnight double shooting in Newark is under investigation by authorities.
Multiple rounds of gunfire rang out in the area of Cabinet Street and Littleton Avenue (Georgia King Village) shortly before 11:45 p.m. sending police and other emergency responders to the scene where they located two victims injured by gunfire.
EMS transported the pair the very short distance to University Hospital with one of the victims reportedly suffering gunshot wounds to both legs while the remaining victim was shot in the buttocks.
Their injuries were not immediately reported as life threatening.
Police and investigators setup a crime scene where they searched the housing complex and collected evidence.
Two black males were last observed leaving the area in a two-door vehicle with PA plates according to reports.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
