Double Shooting Leaves One Victim Struck in the Head by Gunfire in New Brunswick

A shooting in a section of New Brunswick left two victims injured, with one severely wounded Sunday morning. 

It happened around 12:20 a.m. in the vicinity of Tabernacle and wat and Neilson Street. 

Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired and when they arrived at the location, they found the unidentified person suffering a gunshot wound in their head. 

According to police, the victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center for treatment and remained in serious condition. 

Police say officials at the hospital notified them that a second victim entered the emergency room suffering non-life threatening gunshot wounds. 

Investigators are looking into the motive for the shootings. 

No arrests have been made.
