Investigators are on the scene of a pedestrian strike with severe injuries reported on a highway in Wayne.
According to police, a pedestrian was struck by a car in the 1600 block of Route 23 north just before 6:55 p.m.
Police and EMS arrived to find the unidentified person unconscious and unresponsive at that location. Authorities have not officially announced a fatality at this time.
The victim was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment.
The driver reportedly stayed at the scene.
