DEVELOPING: Teen Found Shot in Newark

Police in Newark are on the scene of a shooting with a juvenile struck by bullets in a section of the city at this time.

According to a preliminary investigation, gunfire rang out in the 200 block of Livingston Street at approximately 5:30 p.m, sending police to the scene where they taped the area off after finding evidence that a shooting occurred.

Police say a teenage boy was found on Johnson Avenue suffering a bullet wound in his arm.

The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and expected to survive his injury.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

There are no arrests reported.
