A late evening shooting that occurred in Plainfield had officers credited with a swift arrest this evening.
According to police, at approximately 6:55 PM, Patrol Units responded to the 200 Block of Liberty Street on a ShotsSpotter alert.
Upon officer's arrival, they located an adult male suffering a non life threatening gunshot injury.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital treatment.
Authorities said an observant police officer responding to the scene located and apprehended the suspect in question along with recovering a gun.
The investigation is still continuing at this time.
