Emergency responders are on the scene of a pedestrian strike that has the victim dead at this time in North Bergen.
The incident happened in close proximity to Meridian Health Palisades located in the 7600 block of River Road before 7:15 a.m.
According to preliminary reports, a small SUV struck a female at the bus stop then left the scene on foot.
Medics reportedly pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
