There is an active investigation underway into a pedestrian strike that left one person dead in Perth Amboy.
The incident happened at around 6 p.m. at the intersection of NJ Rt. 184 and South Florida Grove Road where first responders located the victim unconscious and unresponsive after being struck by a vehicle at that location.
The victim was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the victim or gender has not been released at this time.
