Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway as they investigate a shooting that injured a male this afternoon in Paterson.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 163 Temple Street to investigate reports of shots fired that rang out at approximately 2 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers found the unidentified person suffering a gunshot wound to his leg at that location.
EMS transported the victim to St. Joseph's Hospital where doctors provided treatment.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation. The suspect remains at-large.
