Police are on the scene of a shots-fired incident that connected on one person at a location in Paterson this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, residents noticed police of loud popping noises that rang out in the vicinity of 330 12th Avenue at approximately noon today.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found evidence that a shooting occurred but no victims were at that location.
Police say at around 12:10 p.m., officials St. Joseph’s Medical Center notified them that an unidentified person entered the hospital suffering bullet wounds.
The victim's identity or extent of injuries have not been released at this time.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
