EMS units are rushing a woman to University Hospital after police found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the neck in Newark this morning.
According to preliminary reports, a ShotSpotter activation alerted police of erupting gunfire in the teen block of Stratford Place just before 10 a.m.
Several South Ward Police officers found the injured female upon their brief search of the area according to reports.
There is a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
The suspect/s remain at-large at this time.
