Police are on the scene of a shooting with a male down at a location in the city's South Ward at this time.
Gunfire erupted in the vicinity of 138 Clinton Avenue at around 1:05 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers did not have to do much canvassing before they found the wounded victim according to reports.
The victim suffered a gunshot injury to the side and was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
Police say male suspects wearing dark colored hoodies fled the scene in a Jeep Cherokee immediately after the shooting.
Avoid the area for the investigation.
