A barrage of bullets that rang out on a Newark street this afternoon has a man at a hospital fighting for his life.
Gunfire rang out near a daycare center on 14th Avenue and South 14th Street at around 2 p.m. sending police to the scene where the found a male victim suffering gunshot wound and the sidewalk littered with more than two dozen bullet casings.
EMS rushed the male to University Hospital where doctors treated severe injuries according to authorities.
Police are looking for a 2009 Grey Infiniti G37
that was stolen out of Little Ferry with a NJ license plate number “B46-DFE”.
The vehicle was occupied by about four suspects who uses a high powered firearm during the incident authorities said.
The victim is in grave conditions at this time.
Police are actively investigating.
