Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway into a shooting with a male injured in a section of the city at this time.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 261 4th Avenue at approximately 1:50 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a male suffering non-fatal bullet wounds in his shin and hip at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and expected to recover.
Police are trying to determine if suspects pulled up in a vehicle and began to fire in the direction of the victim; or if the suspect was on foot during the incident.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Avoid the area for the police activity.
