Police are on the scene of a shooting with one person injured in the city’s West Ward this evening.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 1000 block of South Orange Avenue near Salem Street at approximately 7:40 p.m. where officers arrived at the scene and found a male victim bleeding from the face after a suspect fired shots in his directions.
EMS rushed the alert and conscious victim to University Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway. Two parked cars were also struck by gunfire.
There are no other injuries reported.
