This crime scene is on South Orange Avenue at South 16th Street where police are investigating a shooting that has a man injured at this time.
The shooting happened at around 6 p.m. where hospital officials at University contacted police after the victim was reportedly dropped off to the emergency department by private vehicle.
The extent of his injuries have not been confirmed by our staff.
Police have both directions of South Orange Avenue closed.
We are seeing light traffic on the SOA with eastbound lanes detoured at South 17th Street and the westbound flow is detoured at South 14th Street.
UPDATE 7:19pm Both directions are open on SOA at this time.
UPDATE: 7:24pm This is going to be a non-life threatening injury.
