Police in Newark are checking several locations in the city for a possible crime scene after a male gunshot victim arrived at a Newark Hospital this morning -Sunday-.
Details regarding the incident are developing but according to preliminary reports, officials at University Hospital contacted police when the victim entered the emergency department suffering an apparent gunshot wound at approximately 6:25 a.m.
Police were led to the vicinity of Hawthorne Avenue and Bergen Street to check for evidence according to reports.
The extent of the victim's injuries have not been released at this time.
