There are non-fatal injuries reported for two victims shot in a neighborhood in Newark at this time.
Police have a crime scene established in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West after gunfire erupted at around 9:45 p.m.
Two male victims have ben transported to University Hospital with one of the victims struck to the arm while the other victim has a gunshot injury to the shoulder.
There is an active investigation underway.
A total of (6) six people suffered gunshot injuries in the city within a one-hour time span, with one of the victims suffering a fatal gunshot wound.
