Police are on the scene of a shooting that has two people injured near a park in the city's Central Ward at this time.
According to preliminary reports, EMS rushed two victims to University Hospital suffering gunshot wounds after a gunman pulled up in a vehicle in the area of Stratford and Avon Avenue then fired multiple rounds in the direction of several people that gathered in the area just before 11:30 am.
Authorities are reporting non-life threatening, but serious injuries for both victims at this time.
There is crime scene established around the Jesse Allen Park as police continue to collect evidence.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
