Hudson County authorities are on the search for a dark-colored pickup truck with a damaged side mirror that fled the scene after fatally striking a man in Bayonne on Thursday evening.
Police say the incident happened near the ShopRite supermarket at Avenue C 25th Street around 10:20 p.m.
Police found the severely injured, unconscious and unresponsive male who medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police taped off the area to launch the investigation.
The suspect remains at-large.
