Police in Newark are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital this afternoon.
According to police, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of Fabyan Place after receiving reports of an injured male with his family members.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering a gunshot wound at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to Beth Israel Hospital for treatment and remains in stable condition at this time.
It is not immediately clear if the victim suffered his injury on Fabyan Place. The investigation is active and ongoing.
