Police are on the scene investigating a shooting with a man found injured near a housing complex in Newark at this time.
At approximately 8:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot near The Garden Spires located at 195 1st Street.
Upon arrival, police found a man shot in his back and legs at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. No other injuries were reported.
