EMS units are rushing a male gunshot victim to University Hospital in critical condition after they found him shot in Newark's Upper West Ward this evening.
Police responded to shots fired in the vicinity of St. Paul Street and South Orange Avenue around 7:05 p.m.
When officers arrived, they located the victim suffering multiple bullet wounds in his chest at that location.
The suspect fled the scene and is at-large.
