EMS rushed a man to Jersey City Medical Center suffering severe injuries after a gunman fired bullets from a car striking him this evening in Jersey City.
Police were called to the vicinity of Lembeck and Ocean avenues after receiving reports of shots fired just before 6 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found an unconscious and unresponsive man -around the age of 25-years-old -suffering gunshot wounds.
Medical personnel provided life-saving techniques before they rushed him to the hospital.
The suspect reportedly drove up in a white van and begin to fire shots from the passenger seat.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
