Mercer County rescue crews recovered the body of an unidentified person floating in a lake in Hightstown this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, the body was found in the Peddie Lake located in the vicinity of 181 East Ward Street just before 3:15 p.m.
Rescue crews made the recovered and have passed along the remains to the Medical Examiner’s Office for the cause of death and identification.
Police have not released further information on the incident at this time.
