Newark emergency responders provided CPR to a male victim found shot multiple times in a section of the city’s South Ward this evening.
At approximately 6:47 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Hillside and Clinton avenues.
Upon arrival, officers found an unconscious and unresponsive male lying on the ground bleeding heavily.
The victim was reportedly walking with a child when armed suspects wearing dark clothing began firing at him.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
