DEVELOPING: Fire Destroys Apartment Building in Orange

Firefighters are on the scene of a fire that erupted inside a building in a section of Orange Tuesday morning.

According to preliminary reports, firefighters were dispatched to the 90’s block of Park Street after receiving reports of fire just before 6:30 aa.m.

Crews arrived at the scene and found flames tearing through the rear of a three-story apartment building with billowing smoke from the roof.

Orange firefighters were able to get inside the building where a search indicated no trapped or injured occupants, according to officials.

Fire traveled up to the cockloft of the structure, where flames caused significant damage to the upper floors.

Crews knocked the blaze down in under 30 minutes with the cause under investigation.

No serious injuries reported at this time.
