Authorities are reporting fatal injuries for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Newark South Ward.
It happened around 6 a.m. near the intersection of Peerless Place and Frelinghuysen Avenue.
Emergency responders found a male suffering fatal injuries after a vehicle ran him over at that location.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has been notified of the incident.
No other injuries were reported.
