Police in East Orange are investigating an incident where gunfire rang out in the city this evening.
Police responded to reports of shots fired on Princeton Street -between Dunkin Donuts and Rite Aid- where a suspect reportedly opened fired in the area at approximately 6:15 p.m.
Police arrived at the scene and found evidence that a shooting occurred but according to reports, there were no injuries.
At approximately 6:20 p.m., an apparent police pursuit of a vehicle came to a crashing end when the driver of the suspected car lost control and slammed into a parked vehicle on Beech Street near North Arlington.
EMS arrived on the scene for injuries.
Both incidents remain under investigation and are possibly connected.
The mayor showed up at the Beech Street location but city officials have not responded to public information requests.
