Union Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred Friday night on Route 22 westbound near Springfield Road.
According to officials in Union Township, the crash happened at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Emergency responders arrived to find a pedestrian who had been fatally struck by a vehicle.
Police are conducted an accident investigation, and Route 22 west remains completely closed in the area.
Traffic is being diverted as authorities work the scene.
