A 29-year-old Newark man injured by gunfire Thursday afternoon succumbs to his injuries.
Police responded to the 700 block of South 20th Street Thursday shortly after 2p.m. for a report of shots fire.
Upon arrival, police found William H. Poole, 29, with a gunshot wound to his head.
According to initial investigations, Poole was in inside the vehicle when a second vehicle pulled alongside the vehicle and shots were fired.
Poole was pronounced dead Friday, at University Hospital in Newark
