A 53-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries after she was struck by a PSE&G truck early this morning.
According to authorities, police responded to the 400 Block of Madison Avenue shortly before 8 a.m. for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the 49-year-old PSE&G employee left the roadway and struck the Roselle Park woman who was walking on the sidewalk.
Police say the pedestrian was transported to University Hospital in Newark, where she is in critical but stable condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
