There were critical injuries reported for a female who was struck by a car outside a Newark South Ward Hospital on Friday morning.
According to police, the incident happened just outside of the emergency room at Beth Israel Hospital on Lyons Avenue in Newark.
Police say the victim was struck by a car then thrown a short distance.
The victim was taken into the hospital and administered treatment by doctors who listed her in critical condition.
The incident is under investigation.
