Police reported injuries for a couple struck by a vehicle in Bloomfield Saturday night.
According to preliminary information, at around 9:00 p.m, police were dispatched to the single-digit block of Bloomfield Avenue to investigate several reports of pedestrians injured.
Bloomfield Police and EMS arrived and found a male and female suffering injuries after a vehicle struck them at that location.
The victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Still, it is not clear if The Essex County Prosecutor's Office was notified of the incident at this time.
Police taped off a portion of Bloomfield Avenue to conducted a crash investigation.
The incident is under an active and ongoing investigation.
