Cops Swiftly Nab Downtown Newark Bank Robbery Suspect

Newark Police officers arrested a bank robber twenty minutes after robbing a TD Bank in the downtown.

According to police, at approximately 5:00 p.m., police responded to 105-109 Mulberry Street after the TD Bank's hold-up alarm was activated.

Detectives, through their investigation, developed information about the suspect's whereabouts with police officers arresting him at a Lincoln Park apartment building without incident.

Adam J Narducci, a 36-year-old, Newark man was in police custody at approximately 5:20 pm and is charged with bank robbery authorities said.

Police said no weapon was shown during the robbery and no injuries were reported.

This charge is merely an accusation. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose commends the swift response of the Newark Police Officers which led to the arrest of the bank robber.
