Clifton Teen Arrested for Passaic Shooting

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman announce that based upon an investigation by the Passaic Police Department, Christopher Osorio, 18-years old, from Clifton was arrested on November 30th in relation to a shooting investigation that took place the same day.

Police say Mr. Osorio is charged with Attempted Murder, First Degree; Conspiracy to Commit Murder, First Degree; Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Second Degree; Possession of a Handgun for an Unlawful Purpose, Second Degree; Aggravated Assault, Second Degree; and Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree.

According to police, members of the Passaic Police Department responded to the area of Eighth Street Passaic on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival members of the Passaic Police Department located damage to the outside of a building in the area of Eighth Street and a 17-year-old juvenile victim who was shot at but not injured.

Based on the investigation, Mr. Osorio was identified as one of the actors and arrested shortly after the incident in the area of South Street.
